Hi Hang Five team!
As we write, we’ve already crossed 983,000 plays since we began counting back in late 2023. We’re now getting over 3,000 people playing Hang Five every day. At that rate, we’ll hit a million some time on Wednesday morning, NZ time!

But why wait till Wednesday? If we get more people playing, we’ll hit that target sooner. We have a really dedicated community of Hang Five players. If you know someone who likes solving puzzles, why not tell them about Hang Five?
Speaking of solving puzzles, if you want an easy way to get to all your favourite daily games, check out 5minute.games. Dave (who runs it) has been a huge supporter of Hang Five since the early days. It’s a huge list of daily games, and you can also add ones that aren’t in the library. Just be sure to put Hang Five at the top of your list!
Some stats for the week
Last Thursday, 9 January, was a record day for Hang Five - we had our busiest ever day (apart from the day we had our little collab with Shit You Should Care About). Thursdays are usually our busiest day of the week. We’re not really sure why. It drops off quite a bit on Friday and Saturday then starts to get busier again on Sunday.
Thursday was also the hardest puzzle for the week - only 25% of people were able to solve “In a pickle”.
The easiest puzzle this week was this Thursday’s. Which is still today in many parts of the world, so we won’t spoil it for you! But will this Thursday’s play count top last Thursday’s and set a new record?
